Overview
One of the signs of mastery in Hatha Yoga is the ability to build our energy through practice while expending less and less - this is the very definition of efficiency.
The Building Prana with Hatha Yoga workshop series introduces principles and methods for developing just this efficiency in practice. Mastery of these techniques results in strong and free-flowing prana, which makes the fulfillment of worldly and spiritual aspirations much easier.
The Level 1 workshop prepared the foundation for this style of practice through increasing the power and functioning of the legs, enhancing the quality of respiration and charging our energetic center (known variously as the kanda, the hara, or the dan tien).
This Level 2 workshop focuses on the 'inner alchemy' of practice, or the synergy of form, energy and mind. When the body, breath and attention become integrated, we experience an inner flow or resonance which produces a highly efficient practice. The key mechanism for this integration is the use of bandha, which draws our physical, energetic and mental layers inward together.
This workshop includes a 25-minute lecture and a 75-minute guided practice session that is appropriate for students with a good grounding in the basics of Hatha yoga. No matter what style of yoga you have practiced, the principles laid out in this workshop will be useful to you.
We strongly recommend that you take the Building Prana Level 1 workshop first. The principles and practice in Level 2 build directly on the foundation of the first course.

Great hatha yoga video, excellent teaching
Rating 5 / 5 "This is the second of Mark Horner's videos I purchased from the Pranamaya website. I really like his Shadow Yoga-inspired approach and style and have been coming back quite a few times to practice this and the level 1 video. Explanation is clear and precise, and pacing is very good - neither too slow nor too fast. I also found the talks given at the beginning of each of the videos very helpful.

I would not consider these videos suitable for total beginners but they're ideal for anyone with a basic understanding and some experience. I have been practicing intensely for several year now and still have considerably benefitted from these classes. I hope there will be more online videos to make more of Mark's teaching available! Highly recommended!!!"
