Hi all,
 
I just wanted to let people know how Claire is doing, at least as of Friday.  I was in Berkeley last week visiting with Claire and helping her get ready for her trip to India.  
 
Last Wednesday, Claire had an appointment with a doctor who practices both traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine and who specializes in cancer treatment.  His advice to Claire was for her to eat whatever she wants.  Whether it was the increased calories or the thought of pancakes and pizza, Claire's spirits and energy and appetite increased dramatically.  
 
Claire is still taking aspirin for her headaches and no other medication.  Her eyes and her lungs continue to cause the most discomfort, although her breathing is still much improved after her visit to Amachi with Dirk, Mark, Lauren, Tom, and Joan.  
 
That's about all.  I'm back in Seattle now, and Lauren is helping Claire with whatever she needs to do before she leaves for India.
