My dearest Tara,
So now look what's gone and happened. On my way home last Friday I
thought I would pick up a copy of Monty Python's, "The Meaning of
Life." When Mike got home we put it on. Then he turned to me and
innocently announced that he had never before seen a Monty Python
movie!!!! I have actually married a man who had not ever once seen a
Monty Python show or movie, nor heard a joke from the above named icons
of my early adulthood!! It just goes to show you that some things in a
marriage aught to remain private and unspoken, despite what the self
help communication gurus might have to say about it.
Well, anyway, I may have created a monster because he now wanders
around reciting some of the choisest lines in a faux British accent,
heavily laden with Brooklyeese. Life of Brian is on this weekend's show
list.
How wonderful that Swami Govinda is there with you. If you get this in
time please give him all my best. it sounds as if you have wall-to-wall
Swami attention: chanting, pujas, prayers. If there is a better place
for you to be on the planet, I can not imagine it. I remain with you in
spirit and you are constantly in my and Mike's thoughts. I was driving
home from work yesterday when I was struck with a true sense of what
you must be going through, no defenses, no immediate impulse to turn
away. I can't pretend to know exactly what this feels like for you, but
I had this one inkling and consequently this desire to send you
enormous amounts of love and any healing or comforting energy I could
munster up. I hope that you are not in too much pain.
I have been in touch with Claire and know that she is leaving for India
with her husband on Sunday. I feel better knowing that a TTC Netala '04
Ambassador will soon be at your side.
Do you need anything? I know it takes a while but we are ready to ship
anything. Mike is also available if you need any medical advice,
although I realize you probably have a lot of that. Let us know
Much Love, Ganga
