Hi everyone,
We held the cremation for Tara this morning and again it was beautiful
and amazing. It was just a finished body at this point, so the
ceremony was still very respectful and beautiful, yet light and
wonderful too. It felt very, very appropriate, and a lovely end to
this chapter of the story.
Clare left tonight with our tremendous love and thanks, and with some
sadness too. I feel she is like a sister to me, and I think to Corey
as well, even though their time was short together. I'm hoping that
she'll have some time to write some of her own story of her time
here........... hint hint Clare ;-)
Speaking of stories, how would you like to help write this one? There
will be a pilgrimage leaving from Delhi on September 1st to celebrate
Tara's life and spread her remains in 3 holy places in the north of
India, including her holiest city, Varanasi. This was just suggested
by Swami Govinda today, and naturally we would need to know soon if you
would like to come so that train/travel arrangements can be made on
this end (we would make travel arrangements within India; you would
need to get yourself here). You would need to get to Delhi anytime
before Sept. 1, and plan to be here for 3 weeks; longer if you can
manage. This will literally be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to
travel with Tara's favorite Swami to some of the holiest places in the
world, and celebrate her life and spread her remains along the way.
Please come.
And having offered this chance, I need to say that I'm overwhelmed with
e-mails and completely short of time right now. I appreciate the notes
of thanks and stories from everyone; and while I don't at all want to
stop that, I would ask that you hold off for a few days trying to
contact me as it's simply too much right now.
At this rate it will be some time before I can properly write about
what's been happening; but suffice it to say that it's pretty
incredible, and I need to simply be here for it right now, and sharing
about it will need to wait a bit.
Much Love,
Mark
